DIGITAL LEAD – FINANCE
The Finance Digital Lead is the key and strategic interface between IT and Finance team for the function
digitalization. This pivotal role aims to accelerate the understanding of business processes and IT
resources that support these services and processes. This understanding will deliver business benefits,
improve business agility & service, reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance so that costs are
Own the Finance Digital roadmap and ensure initiatives are delivered along with the business case
o Review company’s business processes for enhancing effectiveness
o Partner with risk management and IT team in establishing system based controls and
continuous improvements in finance function
o Drive process excellence initiatives – preparation of business case, feasibility assessment and
o Ensure adequate systems are in place and adopt best in class industry practices for finance
o Ensure optimum utilization of investments made in existing technology (SAP, BPM platform
etc.) to enhance the effectiveness of finance service delivery
o Assess impact of new technology on finance and identify opportunities to leverage investments
in emerging technology such as RPA, Blockchain, BI/Reporting and EPM tools etc.
o Assist in selection of technology platforms for finance
o Liaise with Information Technology team for identification of vendors and implementation of
Project Management of special projects
o Liaise with other relevant stakeholders for execution of process excellence projects
o Monitor and manage execution of process excellence projects to ensure effective and efficient
o Manage change management initiatives across finance organization
o Provide training to finance team members for development of requisite skillsets
Provide integrated solution delivery to the finance senior management team.
o Translating finance plans into specific IT requirements and programmes/projects.
o Initiate programmes to deliver Digital projects
o Monitor projects to ensure they deliver business improvement and are aligned with
organizational objectives and overall Digital roadmap
Bring in best practices from industry and help analysing the same for business to implement and benefit
Work in partnership with the business units as a member of the management team, to fully understand
the key business drivers, processes and needs of current challenges as well as future strategic initiatives
o Ensure all IT projects are designed and delivered in line with business requirements and
o Liaise closely with the IT Leadership Team to align IT to business process
Initiate and support business case development for prioritized opportunities (with Revenue / Cost
Impact and Potential IRR)
Co-create solutions along with business, IT teams (infra, SAP and Digital) and vendors for the
opportunities, challenges, improvements that have been identified and prioritized
Review solution architecture from a scalability, flexibility, sustainability standpoint
Take responsibility for implementation programmes or system upgrade initiatives and ensure they are
delivered within schedule, cost and quality to business units
Work in partnership with business to drive key change programmes to improve system process to make
them simpler, cheaper and better.
Fully participate in wider business projects with Digital focus.
Bring business understanding to IT policy development and provide a conduit for testing draft policies
within the business.
Should have worked in finance function and able to demonstrate P2P and O2C processes
Ability to lead finance functions like tax, …etc
Experience of acting as a change agent, working proactively to make organizational change happen.
Proven, project/Programme management skills and experience in governance
Knowledge of the spectrum of possible IT interventions and experience of delivering improved
Experience of getting to know and understand the business and to identify how IT can best
contribute to its success.
Strong customer focus and proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels of the
Awareness of industry relevant key topics including Big Data & Analytics, Cloud, Industrial Internet,
Experience Required: Overall 8 -12 years of experience as CA, with minimum 3 Years in Digital
Solutions Implementation. Exposure or working knowledge on SAP will be an additional advantage.
