Job Description
Main Accountabilities
Commodity procurement
Manage end-to-end sourcing activities (e.g. quotations, tenders etc) of critical
commodities and services (including but not limited to Aluminium paste, Pulp, FR2 etc..)
for HIL Plants spread across India
Negotiate with external parties for better terms and cost savings.
Build strong relationships with internal customers and vendors/suppliers.
Identify and innovate with implementation of process improvement opportunities
Support to execute regional sourcing strategy with best practices- market intelligence,
analytic and communication with key internal stakeholders.
Lead contract development (Annual rate contracts) for the commodities mentioned above
and its implementation/ compliance
Manage relationship with key suppliers and key HIL internal stakeholders and establish
regular communication channels to create best value sourcing.
Vendor Management
Evaluate potential suppliers using developed and agreed criteria to negotiate contractual
relationships to meet the expectations and requirements of HIL
Monitor and report on the performance of selected vendors to ensure delivery in line with
contractual obligations and performance metrics
Engage with the VP-SCM to assess strategic vendor needs and manage overall strategic
vendor relationships.

matters that are appropriate.
Job Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree, ideally science or engineering related. Masters degree / MBA
preferred.
6 plus years of work experience in Procurement with experience of commodity
Procurement.
Effective Communication - the candidate must have excellent written and verbal
communication skills and be highly confident enough to engage in discussions with
senior leadership.
Demonstrate knowledge in contracts and commercial law.
Confident in giving presentations and commercial negotiation
Possess critical thinking and has conceptual abilities to understand issues and resolve
them
Both independent & team player with ability to work with people from all corporate levels
Able to multi-task and respond quickly and effectively to the challenges faced in a fast-
paced environment, work well under pressure, able to plan and prioritize workload
Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle / SAP / Ariba / Emptoris any other S&P tools is a
must)
Good command of MS Office Tools (i.e. excel, ppt)
